At my parents house we run into snakes quite a bit. My dad and I were out front doing some yard work and my dad had me come over and see the snake. I quickly jumped on my cell and told Vance to grab Ethan and get down here. My dad said he was never going to catch it. I went up to the house and not 10 minutes later the boys were outside holding the snake. I knew he'd catch it. Ethan love it!!! Aidan didn't want anything to do with it. I can't believe Ethan is holding it, AHHHH GRoS!!

Don't worry Vance grew up in Wyoming and was raised catching all kinds of creatures. He is pretty knowledgable of which are poisen or not. Needless to say this was not poiseness!

Gross I know. Now Ethan says "Mom that snaked pooped on me" Yes he said that!! I'm in trouble with 3 boys. Yes he washed his hands ASAP after he let it go.

He's pretty proud of holding him.

After Ethan was done holding the snake he let him go in the bushes to go find his family!!

I hate snakes...it takes awhile for me to get used to how they move...so creepy. Good luck with the boys :)

My boys love the snakes in yard also. Fortunately for me, no one has tried picking them up yet. I can't believe that Ethan didn't freak out with a snake on his arm. Disgusting!

Hey Heather! This is Rachael (Huggins) I found your blog through Lacey's. I hope it is okay. Your family is so cute! Got to love the boys. They are not scared of anything! I hate snakes but Brantley (my son) also loves to play with snakes. Luckily we do not see that many.

Yuck! Why do they insist on picking it up?? Axel was holding a stink bug when we went camping last weekend! It's hard for me not to over react:) You're tougher than me though, you probably handle it better.

My kids do the same thing at the lake and I try not to act a little uneasy.
Um, no thanks!
