We received a phone call the other day informing us my Grandma Chard was passing away and had about a day to live. This news was kind of a surprise because she has hung in there for so long, but at the same time not really because she has been ready for so long.
At Thanksgiving my mom, dad and I were able to go visit her. It was a wonderful visit because all of us were laughing and having a good time. I'm so glad I was able to have that moment with her before she passed.
My dad flew out to Utah yesterday morning and spent the day with her. She had a lot of family surrounding her when she passed. We all know my Grandpa was there with her and the family. I'm sad I was not able to be a part of that moment, but am blessed to be able to fly out there this weekend to say goodbye.
Grandma I love you and you will be missed. I'm so happy you are with Grandpa now and able to be the happiest you've ever been.

Heather,
I am so sorry that you lost your Grandma. I lost my Grandpa last March and no matter how happy you are for them to be at peace its hard to let them go.
I love seeing all your cute pics on here. You are such a good photographer.
We are so sorry about your loss. We love you and you are in our thoughts and prayers!
It was a great sense of loss when I and my family heard about Sister Chard's death.
We just want you all to know that we love them so much and forever grateful for them. They taught my family in the Philippines when they were serving their mission. I was then 6 or 7 year old, when they started teaching my parents. We are forever grateful for their love and testimony that they shared to me and to my family esp to my parents. We've grown in the church and acquired our own testimony through their testimony and examples.
Thank you again...
Our deepest sympathy,
Empeno Family
