Trailing the Western Chehalis Trail!

In Olympia there is a trail called the "Chehalis Western Trail" and it is forever long.  I tried to locate the exact mileage and I think it said 22 miles.  So the other day Vance, the boys and I drove to the start of the Trail to enjoy a walk. This is one of the MANY reason why I love Washington, the scenery is magnificent.  As we were walking it felt like we were out camping in the middle of the woods, but we don't have to walk back to camp and clean everything up.  :)

Me and the boys ready to head on our walk.

The trees are huge

We have to walk down to the little ponds to look for frogs.

Me and my big boy.

Me and my sweetheart

The path continuing under the bridge

Naturally Aidan had to walk, here he is trying to keep up.

Aidan on daddy's shoulders

Ethan taking off without us.

Can't live without throwing rocks in the water

Aidan looked like he was going to fall asleep

Finding new ways to test things.

Boys hitting branches with sticks.  Get it all out boys.

I love this picture, he's trying so hard to keep up.

Being one with nature.

Checking out the Geese in the water

Ethan the big helper

And three boys sat on a bench

Me and my crazy Aidan boy

I love the moss on the trees, it's so cool looking.

We had a lot of fun on our walk.  The boys can run as fast as they want, yell as loud as they want, throw rocks all they want and they have 22 miles to do it.

I LOVE the trail! We quit walking it during the winter, but we are ready to get back out there. Especially since it's RIGHT next door to us! Come on over and we'll walk with you!
