Mt. Rainier

Friday morning we decided to head on a family drive to Mt. Rainier. Not knowing really where we were going we just followed the signs along the freeway. About an hour and a half later we stumbled upon the Sunrise Entrance to Mt. Rainier.

Along the road we stopped at this view. It was pretty incredible.
Here are my cute boys.

Me and my little boys. I just love them so much.

There were these really cool snow cave looking things.

We made it down to the White River Campground and headed out on foot.
I have to tell you Ethan picked out his outfit himself. He also has two pair of shorts on here.

All sticks are either guns or bow and arrows.

The trees were cool looking with moss draping from the ends of branches.

There Aidan is slacken. Hurry up Tators!!

There he goes. The trail ahead.

In the Fall there was a flood that washed through here and took out the trail. So needless to say it was a crazy terrain up the mountain.

The boys checking out the water and rocks.

Aidan showing some wild mushrooms.

Fallen trees along the trail.

This water did some serious damage.

Dad showing the boys how the rocks fall down the hill.

The boys love to watch the movie "Clash of the Titans" I know silly movie. Anyway Aidan here hiding from "Madusa"

We had to cross the little river several times. Vance here carrying Aidan across.

Ethan walking along the log.

Aidan's turn.

Ethan taking a break

Water coming from everywhere

Here come the boys.

Oh yea we went through that.

We stopped and let the boys play in the sand along the way.

Boys getting along!

Vance taking a break.

That's what we came up through.

Vance and I

Mt. Rainier

Vance dragging Aidan across the rocks. :)

Not sure what mountain this is.

Me

Me and my Big boy.

We saw this really cool waterfall

The boys in front of the waterfall

That's me

Ethan and Aidan in front a river and Mt. Rainier

This was a pretty fast river. Don't worry we didn't have to cross this river.

Notice the flags. This was the trail we had to walk along.

There they come

Aidan would get so mad when his feet got dirty. So Vance had to go and wash his shoes off.

Waiting for dad to come back.

Ethan did SOO good on the hike and was walking ahead of us most the time.

Back to a normal trail.

A closer look at Mt. Rainier

Just hanAlign Centerging out

That's us.

We ran into a Ranger and we asked him how much further to the Glacier Basin. He said we had another 2 miles. So we decided this was a great turn around place.

So this was the closest we got to Mt. Rainier

The boys hanging out

I love this picture of the Aidan and Ethan!!
My boys are so STINKIN cute

I love these guys. We had so much fun.

Ethan jumping the stream.

Cool flower along the way.

Aidan was so tired.

Landslide!!

Hanging on the fallen tree.

Aidan is out like a light. I know I look lovely.

We are heading home and here is what Mt. Rainier looks like from afar.
It was so much fun taking the boys on a hike. I just wish we had time to go all the way to the Glacier, but maybe next time with no kiddos.
