After swimming and Thunderstorms the next morning we got up and going around 10. We got a text from my sister if we are going to lunch. So for lunch we met Lara at the ever so popular CAFE Rio!!!! I ate there 3 times while I was in Utah. I think I got my fix. We decided to go visit some people.
First we hit up my grandparents who were quite surprised to see us. It was really fun to spend some one on one time with them. The boys loves the yard and the fun things they have.
It's nice and shady in the front so we hung out for a bit talking and watching the boys go all over.
Ethan picked this flower, brought it to me and said "mom will you put this in my ear?" What a goof.
The boys were getting restless so my grandpa fired up the trains for them. My grandpa is way into trains and has 4 trains on 4 different tracks running at the same time. It's pretty impressive.
By the look of Ethan's face I think he thought it was pretty cool as well.
My grandma needed some help on her computer so Aidan and I went into the office. Here Grandma is pointing out the different pictures on her memory wall.
Next we did the old drive around the old neighborhood and look at "the house" thing. While we were driving I decided to stop and see some old friends. Funny story Vance was telling after I went to knock on the door. He says "Heather I was hoping they didn't answer" haha I think it's hilarious because they did answer and we ended up having a good time.
So I walked up to knock on the door and Liz Livingston answer with a surprised look on her face. I asked if Mike, her oldest son, was there. She had to wake him up. It was pretty funny he was sleeping in the middle of the day, what a slacker. This guy Mike I have known for a long time I used to babysit him and now he just left on his mission a few days ago. I wanted to come by and say goodbye.
Ethan hanging out with Ernie the Livingston's dog
Mike, Liz, Vance, Ernie and Dean all hanging out visiting.
We decided to take the conversation in back and woke Aidan up from his nap. The kids were excited to play on the trampoline.
Ethan coming down from some serious air.
Ethan and Mike jumping.
When it was Aidan's turn he did NOT want Ethan anywhere near the trampoline. He would brake down if he did.
BIG jump.
The next morning we went to a friends house that no longer lives in the old ward boundaries. Kati Penner has such darling girls and one cute boy. I used to be Sarah Penner's Primary Teacher back in the day.
The kids checking out the cranky rabbit, Brown Sugar.
I love how Ethan is picking his bum in this photo. Kids have no shame. ;)
Naturally Aidan climbing on the rabbit cage.
Aidan now looking into it.
Ethan playing in this darling kids play room under the stairs. Jeff had painted a barn on the outside of it. I should have gotten a picture of the whole thing. Oh well it was cute.
The kids were dead set on holding the rabbit. So Jeff snagged some gloves and got the rabbit out. By the way I wouldn't go near a rabbit that needed to be held by gloves. I'm just saying!
Ethan holding Brown Sugar. He did attempt a second try, but the rabbit was done and did scratch him. Oh well, lesson being, don't touch cranky rabbits.
Aidan taking a turn. Smart kid though he wouldn't hold it just pet it.
Me and darling Kati!! Thanks again Kati for letting us come bombard your home. ;) I think Jeff likes the idea of having so many girls. Your house a beautiful.
I wish I could have spent a week visiting everyone I know in Utah, but it's just not feasible. Next time I'll hit up some different families.
