A ladies getaway.

Last weekend a couple of ladies in our ward put together an overnighter for the women in our ward at Camp Zions. So Friday night we all met up at Camp Zions to enjoy a little time away from the daily grind.

We stayed in the Lodge which was compiled of a ton a bunk-beds. The lodge we stayed in was called the "Daughters of Abish Dormitory" Hmmm I thought that was rather interesting.

As we waited for ladies to arrive we gathered around and did some chit chatting.

We than assembled in the main area to enjoy a lovely Christ Devotional. Sarah Arnold ready to take it ALL in.

After the devotional we regrouped at the Fire Pit.
"Look Mom No Hands" Amanda showing off her rather nifty head flashlight.

Here we are roasting our Pillsbury biscuits on a stick. This created a hollow middle where we stuffed vanilla pudding down it and frosted it with chocolate frosting. Final product = Campfire Eclairs!! I loved these things. Very yummy.

After the campfire we all headed back and hit the sack.
Next morning had some yummy breakfast, talked a bit, played some games and than headed down to the lake.

Sarah taking it all in.
Beautiful scenery

Waiting for the ladies

There were a lot of these cool trees that were red and all the barked had peeled off. Very cool.

The lake was very pretty and no one was on it. The weather was a bit chilly and the water was freezing. Needless to say no one got in the water for a swim.

OH yea I'm cool in my sweet life jacket.

These are the non boat riders that sat on a log!!

Amanda, Sarah and I ready to paddle around the Lake.

We made it to the island thingy and got out for a photo. Sarah got a little wet.

The party poopers

Sittin around chattin some more.
We than had lunch and left for home. It was fun to get away for a night and just relax. This Camp Zions is where the Young Woman in the ward go for Girls Camp. It also allows for families to come and camp. There are a lot of things for you to do on the campsite. It would be a great place to have a reunion as well. Anyway thanks to Tami Bair and Kathleen Woolf for putting this together and allowing us to put our feet up and relax. Thanks ladies.
