Just a few excuses

So basically there are two reasons for not blogging lately, one is a very unacceptable reason and the other you'll just sympathize with me. Blogging has been on the back burner for the main reason on I'm just unmotivated. I've been in this I don't want to do it rut. So I apologize for that. I say that like you are all sitting there on the edge of your seats for the Hodo blog. Yea right!

So other than just being plain lazy a week or so ago my computer was on the fritz. Every morning when I would get up and open my laptop I would find dead pixels on my screen! What the heck right? Well after an hour it would go away. I got on the phone with Apple to find out what to do. They trouble shot me through a few things, but eventually decided I needed to take my Mac into the Dr. So pack up the fam and drive an hour to the nearest Apple store. They happily took the computer and replaced the screen for a new one.

A couple of days later we all headed back to the Apple store to pick it up. Here's where it gets fun, just wait. Well that evening I had to work so Vance was doing updates on my newly beautified Mac while the boys were playing the Wii. As most of you know the Wii comes stocked with controller, rubber jacket for the controller and a strap to go on your hand. FYI USE THEM!!! Ethan was getting all excited and started flinging his arms all about when..... That's right you guessed it, that controller went flying out of his arms and smacked directly into my computer screen. Let's just say it's a good thing I was at work and Ethan was asleep when I got home. After much kicking and screaming, sorry Vance, I finally came to the realization it's just a computer. I know Ethan didn't do it on purpose, but it still sucked.

I came to the conclusion there is NO way Apple was going to replace this sucker without a big price tag slapped on it. We took the benefit of the doubt and Vance my dearest husband drove to Apple AGAIN!!! I had to work so he packed the boys up and took my computer in. Long story short they are replacing the screen for FREE and overnighting it to my sisters so I can have it while I'm in Utah for a week. YAY!!!

Lessons:

1. Make everyone playing the Wii wear the strap and jacket.

2. Buy the extended warranty on your electronics.

3. Buy a Mac. :)
4. Back Up EVERYTHING as soon as you put it on your computer.
Here are a few random pictures I've taken that didn't get lost during the whole computer fiasco. Don't worry I only lost the few pictures I had taken in the last month.
