American Heritage

Friday was a nice day and I decided we needed to go camping.  So as I was working Vance got everything together so we could head out.  Here in Washington we only have to drive 5-10 minutes to reach our destination.
My cousin Russ and his wife are coming to town and are planning on camping.  They wanted us to check out the campsite.  What better way to check it out than to camp their.  It's called American Heritage.

They have a hayride and we got there just in time to go on it.  Here's me and my Bomber boy!

Time for Smores!

Hanging out with my boys

About 9:30 we decided it was time to head to bed.  At that time it decided to start raining and from than on it didn't stop!! ALL night it rained. The kids slept all night, but Vance and I tossed and turned. Between rain and sleeping with no mattress it was rough.

It did stop raining in time for us to get up and start breakfast.
Here's Aidan helping me with breakfast.

While I cooked breakfast daddy attempted to start a fire.  It was hard because of all the wetness.

The kids enjoyed cheesy scrambled eggs and potatoes

Me finishing up breakfast

After breakfast time for another round of Smores!!

Dirty boys!!! I don't think they had any fun!

Daddy enjoying some marshmellows

Our camp.  Now it's time to take down camp and head out.

After camp was put away we went to the "Heated" pool for some swimming.  We promised the boys we would. It was not as heated as I had hoped, but it was still fun.

The boys love to swim!! I can't stress that enough.  It's so nice now we can put life jackets on and the go all over without us having to hold onto them.

Aidan having a blast

Ethan as well having a good time.

They both got out and would cannonball back in the pool.  It is cute to watch.

For the most part our first camp out was successful.  Even though it rained we didn't freeze and they kids were good.  This is the first of MANY camp outs this summer!!
