Hiking in Capitol Forest

We decided to go on a small hike with the boys.  So we got in the car and just drove.  Capitol forest is really close to us so we decided to head there.  Not really knowing where we were going we just stopped as soon as we found a trail.

Aidan has his walking poles ready to go.

First thing he does is slip into the the first mud puddle on the trail.  He was devastated. Which I can't figure out because he gets dirty ALL the time.

This showing how we had to wait for Aidan most of the time on the trail.  He stopped every few steps.

Ethan did well at staying up with the pack.

It didn't take long for Ethan to start running through the mud puddles.

Whatever he had a great time.  He pretended to be a dirt bike.

He's just going to walk now I guess

Aidan stopping to smell the flowers

Following his big buddy.

My boys sure love their daddy.  I love it!!

Hangin on for dear life

A little meditation

Me and my boys.  They have a lot of energy, but they sure are cute and never hide how much they love me.

I think Aidan was trying to convince dad to hold him. We knew it was time to turn back when he wanted that.

Tough dudes and their shirts off.

Boys and puddles equals rocks in the puddle.

Simple things make life so great!

This little guy reminds me of the caterpillar on Labyrinth. "Don't go that way"

Checkin out the little dude

Aidan throwing a fit!! I know imagine that. So Vance grabbed him and pretended to dip him in the puddle.  He got his fingers in the water and FLIPPED out.  IT was pretty funny.  I took the picture for blackmail.

Heading back to the car

I love the trees with moss all over.  A very cool affect .

Aidan can't hack walking. Vance was very nice to hold him the rest of the way to the car.

We had a good time on our little hike.  There will be a lot of hiking this summer.
