On July 18th Vance's sister and family came to Washington for a visit. We had 10 people in our tiny 2 bedroom home, but it worked out perfectly. They were here for a week and everyone had the best time. I'm so glad they took the opportunity to come see us.
The arrived to Olympia July 18th around 8 pm. We were already planning on going to the LakeFair fireworks so we took them with us.

On the 21st we decided to head to the beach. We warned them, it's going to be cold, windy and cloudy. Still being warned they wanted to go. So we packed up and headed west.
We arrived at the beach to find it was not that cold and wait for it..... THERE WAS NO WIND!!!
I've gone to the beach here many times and every time we go there is always wind. This time there wasn't even enough wind to fly a kite!! Needless to say they all think we are crazy. lol

So we went back to the car to play in the sand. Ethan was running around having a good time. Well apparently someone covered a bunch of wood, they had used for a fire, with sand. As he was running he ran straight into the pile and scraped his leg for the bottom of his knee to the top of his foot!!!! Thank you to whoever covered that and left it!!! I applaud you for your geniusness!!!!

Nasty huh?? He did a lot better than I thought he would. Normally Ethan is quite the drama queen when it comes to pain. This deserves much drama, but he did well.
